A very productive Master's weekend...

Well, ok, the class was ridiculously worthless but I was incredibly productive with the final two drawings for my series (see the first here).

Latest...

I have a few new pots out. A couple were commissioned, including this one. Normally I don't do much with bright blue glazes but boy was this one ever blue!

A couple more neti pots for a cousin and the rest were just me dinking around.

This is a pot I made years and years ago as a demonstration of the technique you see on the outside. I finally decided to dust it off and glaze it. It turned out kind of cool, but nothing earth shattering.

Since I wasn't overly attached to these pots I tried a new glaze combo that I think I really like. Definitely one to continue working with. I included an upside-down photo so you can really see the glaze.

I'm having my beginning pottery students create pinch pot vases as their intro project instead of clay whistles. I'm all whistled out for a semester or two. So I had to make one with them and this is what I came up with. I love the look of it and had fun making it. Though my advanced students keep trying to tell me it's a bong. Doy, no it most definitely is not.

McCall Winter Carnival

Adrian and I went up to the McCall Winter Carnival for the first time together. It was the first time I've been there since I was a little girl. We had a great time for such a short weekend.

We spent a little time Saturday sledding at the Condo. It was pretty exciting as the end of the hill was really the frozen lake. When our sleds came to a stop we were halfway out to the boat dock on 3 feet of snow. It was about as far out as I was brave enough to go.
